We believe nothing gets better until sleep gets better.

We offer CBTi, the leading behavioral intervention for insomnia.

Insomnia Treatment North Dakota

So, what’s CBTi?

CBTi stands for Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment for Insomnia. It is the leading treatment for insomnia and acute sleep problems. The treatment approach is research-verified and most people benefit quickly. Sleep plans address patterns of arousal and conditioning. The mind is highly sensitive to conditioning when it comes to sleep. Your sleep trainer will help you to re-condition or condition your mind to sleep during sleep-time and wake during the daytime. The program is designed for people having a difficult time falling asleep, staying asleep, or waking early.

Are You Ready?

The biggest challenge we find in improving patient’s sleep patterns is the belief that sleep isn’t essential for mental and physical health.

Most people are bombarded with mental health and sleep information. Yet, modern day-to-day life is not designed to support mental-physical wellbeing. Many people live in a heightened state of arousal. The health consequences of poor sleep habits accumulate over time.

A sleep trainer will help you identify steps and simplify the process for better sleep.

Benefits of non-fragmented, quality sleep:

  • A calmer, less restless mind
  • Healthy immune system
  • Blood-sugar regulation
  • Supports cardiac health
  • Brain health by reducing risks of cognitive decline
  • Improved ability to learn new information and concentrate
  • Improved emotion regulation (ability to control your mood)
  • Supports the brain’s natural waste removal system (protect cognitive health)
  • Weight loss
  • Releases muscle tension
  • Reduces anxiety levels
  • Reduces rates of depression relapse

CBTi Outcomes:

Start where you are! We have hacks for every angle and sleep problem.

We want to help you sleep better, and we believe CBTi will help. After you learn the techniques, you can apply CBTi the next time your mind has been conditioned not to sleep. Insomnia will happen again. The average person has several periods of insomnia.

Why? Temporary stress or periods of chronic stress. One night of poor sleep can condition the mind and roll into a longterm sleep disorder. CBTi breaks that pattern.

Goals include:

  1. Fall asleep within 15 minutes.
  2. Efficient, non-fragmented sleep.
  3. Sufficient time in each stage of sleep in order to support memory, hormone levels, and body-system recovery.
  4. Mastery of skills for any future insomnia problems.

What’s Enough Sleep?

Our first goal is efficient sleep. This means that your sleep is not fragmented and is restorative. Over time, we will consider your best options for the length of non-fragmented sleep.

Ideally, at the very lowest, 6 hours of sleep at night. However, as a general rule, the brain and body require 7 hours of sleep for cognitive recovery and emotional health.

You do not need a medical referral to work with a CBTi Sleep Coach.

Things will change when you decide to sleep better.

Cost Considerations:

At this time, we offer CBTi in the clinical counseling program, which is typically covered by insurance, and integrated into your treatment plan for anxiety and/or depression.  On average, we recommend 4 to 8 sessions.

Length of Program:

Sleep training is a very individualized process. Ideally, you will commit to a minimum of 4 sessions, 45 minutes each. We will not waste time. This is a brief, short-term program. 30 to 15-minute sessions are an option, depending on your progress. The first month requires the highest level of commitment and financial investment. Ideally, the first 4 sessions are weekly. However, for some, every other week is better. Sleep conditioning is a highly variable process. Once your Sleep Trainer understands your situation, she will provide clear and transparent information about your plan.

Scheduling:

Sleep Training is available through our telehealth platform and in-office. That means you can access the service from your home or office. No driving to an appointment. No babysitters. Our telehealth platform is simple to use and provides HIPAA-compliant privacy protection.

Telecounseling requires high-speed internet, a camera on your computer, and a microphone. At the time of your appointment, you will receive an email link to join an online waiting room. Your Sleep Trainer will join you there.

Who Can Benefit?

Almost everyone can benefit from CBTi. Sleep Trainers are available for adults experiencing short-term or long-term insomnia.

**The tele-visit platform is not appropriate for individuals experiencing suicidal thoughts or individuals diagnosed with a bipolar disorder.
